This is a review of another album from Hordes Of The Lunar Eclipse with the musical style being avant garde, raw and primitive sounding occult black metal and this is a review of their 2004 album "Dancing Demons In The Greylit Candle" which was released by Dark Horizon Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars, as for the violins they are only used briefly on one song and they bring a very dark and avant garde sound to the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very melodic, raw and primitive sounding with some avant garde elements being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls being thrown into the music at times as well as some spoken word samples, clean singing and occult chanting, while the lyrics cover dark, occult and mysticism themes, as for the production it has a very heavy, raw and primitive sound to it with some of the songs being long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great recording from Hordes Of The Lunar Eclipse and if you are a fan of avant garde, melodic, raw and primitive sounding occult black metal, you should enjoy this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "In The Service Of The Stormlord" "And Blood Became Snow" "Dancing Demons In The Grey Lit-Candle" and "Anointing Of The Sick". RECOMMENDED BUY.
