Nekro Morphosis are a band from Seattle, Washington that plays a very raw and primitive form of black/death/thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2008 demo.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy and primitive riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast raw and primitive sounding black metal riffs that utilize influences from thrash metal together to create a sound of their own, while the lead guitars are very dark, melodic, raw and primitive sounding black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are mostly high pitched and deep black/death metal screams and growls, while the lyrics cover dark themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound while you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Nekro Morphosis are a very great sounding hybrid of raw and primitive sounding black metal, death metal and thrash and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Impaler" and "Despair". RECOMMENDED BUY.
