Throne Of Evil Interview

For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Throne of Evil  was constructed in Antofagasta Chile in late 2006. We made several presentations throughout the north of the country. During this period taking their 5 song ep "Blasphemy Salvation".; a dark and misanthropic material that talks about the hypocrisy of the Catholic church and manifests the repudiation to the weak humanity and his worldly lifestyle.
In 2009, I (Balrog), leader and founder of Throne of Evil, must travel to the capital of Chile, given that a break in the band. Balrog However, do not delay in finding a new alignment, (Lakar in drums & Natas on guitars)
In late 2013, we released their full length called "Muerte por Creencias," a material focused on the ancient indigenous cultures of southern world forgotten by modern society without memory.
Continue the enhancement of old forgotten values and placing them on a throne… a throne from which they will return to Reign.

2.In November you had released your first full length, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the album and also how does it differ from the demo you had released in 2008?
The sound of our full length “Muerte por Creencias”, define it as part of the musical evolution I've had and we have achieved as a team, we sought to develop a recording that allows us to express independently and individually . we not get a economic benefits of music, so this is a real passion for dark art and paganism, and we have decided to develop it steadily. It differs from the first EP "Blasphemy Salvation", primarily to personal and musical evolution and growth and the interest for reflect another perspective about our cultures forgotten by this worldly society.

3.This was the first release the band put out after 5 years, can you tell us a little bit more about what was going on during those years?
This was mainly due to changes in the alignment and also because I leave the city, from now on will grant priority to create, so possibly will hear from us again, in fact we have enough advanced material to our next job.

4.The music brings out a lot of hatred for Catholicism and Christianity, can you tell us a little bit more about your hatred for these white light religions?
Consider that while the Catholic Church and Christianity have less influence in today's society, for centuries have been unpunished and even revered for Lambs and ignorants. They have too much influence on the ignorance that surrounds the world today, forgetting the customs that existed before the arrival of the christian dogs in to South American territory, as has happened elsewhere in the world. Throne of evil always have as standard the repudiation of any institution or entity abridging the freedom and try to remove old habits considered pagan, as it has done since its inception the "whore of Babylon".

5.Also on the album you have a good amount of lyrics covering Satanism, Occultism, Paganism, and Ancient Cultures can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in these topics?
Satan is mentioned in a few lines of some issues. I definitely take it as the meaning of "the adversary", a figure who symbolizes the opposite of what ordinary people believe and follow. Satan as terminology in society is very strong for us, would be homologous to freedom of expression. The Occultism catches my attention for a long time, all knowledge and development of the  latent  occult powers of man, leading them to the way to Superman (Übermensch)  are part of my interest. This goes hand in hand with Paganism and appreciation of ancient cultures, as I believe that ancient man had a more fundamental knowledge in harmony with nature, the opposite of today. Based on hidden and forgotten beliefs, at least we can individually reach full development y and know our role in the universe.
It is noteworthy that exists in my country an ancient culture called Mapuche means "man of the earth," a strong warrior race, stoically endured the Spanish invasion and today is Chile itself who turns away from this culture , taking their land, discriminating and attacking them with their armed forces. Throne of Evil supports the Ancestral cultures. Marichiweu !!! (ten times we will win!!!).

6.On the new album most of the lyrics where written in your native tongue and the demo was done mostly in English, what was the decision behind using a different language on this album?

Initially the album would be written purely in Spanish, but the 2 track in English Take this Truth, and Throne of Evil, are two Tracks that were not able to be in the ep, so it did not change in the language they were created . However, I do not restrict myself to write in one language only.

7.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Throne Of Evil'?
Although it was proposed years ago the name "Throne of Evil"  proves  a sense of importance that is maintained until today and projecting into the future towards the distinct , adversity, so ignored by worldly knowledge, considered pagan and evil by today's society. In short it is an enhancement of old forgotten values and placing them on a throne … a throne from which they will reign again.

8.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?
We had many rituals throughout our country, (we would like an offer in abroad), our shows are an example of ritualistic power, seeking to express our message on stage. Some gigs of which have been memorable, as in "Antofagasta" presenting the new album, "Cartagena" hometown of two of the  members and in Chiloe an island full of ancient myths and legends. I leave you a picture sample of the gig from the released of Muerte por Creencias.

9. Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
August 9th we go to Rancagua to play a gig, maybe the last one of the year. Because we will work to record our next album, however we are willing to perform rituals when the opportunity arises.

10. Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?
So far we only have contacts with some labels to broadcast  our album. We are willing to discuss any chance to sign for a seal.

11.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?

Our work is completely independent, so the effort is greater for spread it.

12. Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Doing what we consider efficient to express our art.

13. What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
