F41.0 are a band from Germany that plays an atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of t heir 2017 album "Burde" which will be released on May 19th by Geisterasche Organization,
Clean yet distorted playing and atmospheric sounds start off the album and a few seconds later grim yet melodic vocals that evolved into black metal screams are added onto the recording along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful as well as the riffs also using a decent amount of melody.
A great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length and when the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the songs a more raw black metal feeling and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Clean playing also returns on some of the later tracks along with a brief use of acoustic guitars and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they done in a very melodic fashion while the vocals start having a more angrier edge as the album progresses along with some depressive elements and spoken word parts are also used briefly.
F41.0 plays a style of black metal that is very atmospheric and modern sounding while also having a great amount of heaviness, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in German and cover fear, panic, and disorder themes.
In my opinion F41.0 are a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "E.V.A" and "Alpha". 8 out of 10.
